Dear all
I am so sorry about last month's working group - but we are back this month, with lots to do! The planters have arrived and need to be assembled and weighted down. We don't have the compost yet, but we can put in a base layer of stones and sticks for drainage. We have been offered plants at cost price from the Inch to fill the planters, so now is the time to get in your suggestions. One will be for herbs and sensory (ie aromatic) plants and the other can be anything we like.
We also need to start preparing the ground in front of James Finlayson's grave, where an additional small memorial stone will be installed to mark Margaret Wilkie Finlayson's burial. Tony and Angela Harris have written an excellent book all about the Finlaysons called 'Tangled Yarns', which is well worth a read.
Hope you can make it on Monday, but if not, the dates of the following two working parties are: 16 September and 21 October.
Best wishes,
Ellen-Raissa
