Newington has an ambiguous kind of status, part working cemetery, part historic site, part recreation and conservation area. Some of the queries which come in to Barbara via the info@ address would be better going straight to Mortonhall. Others are unclear: you have to engage with the enquirer to find out what they are really after before deciding who is best placed to answer.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>My main idea is to include a short note somewhere on the website about the working cemetery angle, quoting the Council’s bereavement@ email address, and suggesting that any questions about lair ownership, etc. should go straight to the Council.
