The working party is happening - meeting 10am as usual. I have staked out the area we prepared for the wildflower seeds, but we will need to do a little more work there (not too much!) and then get sowing and raking. The catacombs are looking resplendent with
daffodils and wild garlic, so we can leave them alone this month, but it would be great if we could finish weeding and tidying along the main path up to the roundel, and, if there's time, clear around the bench where we hang the bird feeders. It is now bird
nesting season though, so we need to keep pruning (including ivy) to a minimum and check thoroughly for any ground birds. Also, as Joan pointed out, we are almost in no-mow May. There might be a last minute visit by the council mowers this week, or there might
not, but let's keep our fingers crossed for the front bed.</div>
