[WGNC] Working party Monday at 10am

Happy new year everyone!
Our first working party of the year is tomorrow morning (Monday 19th) - 10am at the cemetery gates. We will be doing the usual variety of winter tasks, so all help very much welcome.
In other news, I was invited to a Friends group meeting on Zoom earlier this month, where the council team spoke to us about the new cemeteries management plans, and we discussed the possibility of a group trip to see Queensferry Vennel cemetery. I asked about our wall repairs, and was told we are next on the list after the team have finished work at East Preston Street - so good news, but having seen the state of the collapsed wall there, it might not be any time soon.
Finally, I hope we can organise a small event in February to mark the re-erection of two headstones (Caw and Hornblow), with help from the Old Edinburgh Club. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
