Dear Friends of Cemetery Groups

We are very grateful for the work that you do to improve the cemeteries,
graveyards and kirkyards across the city. We are really pleased that new
groups are forming. We have been asked a number of questions about what
groups can and can’t do. Therefore, now would be an opportune time to put
together a guidance document of perhaps two or three pages to help groups. 

The objective will be guide not to hinder and interfere with the amazing
discretionary energy of the groups. Caroline at Warriston has kindly
circulated a draft she had. We are currently reviewing that with the aim to
issue to this wider group for discussion at the online meeting via TEAMS.
Hopefully the date and time suits. I know I don’t have emails for all the
Friends Groups so feel free to invite colleagues that are missing such as
North Merchiston. I look forward to seeing you all.
